Overview

From the start of ADNOC’s gas operations, we have had sustainability embedded in our DNA and today we are accelerating these efforts to reflect our commitment to ‘100% HSE’ and our focus on emissions reduction.

Our strategy and operational plans are fully aligned with those of ADNOC Group, and we share the commitment to integrating best-in-class HSE standards across our operations, giving back to communities, supporting sustainable economic development and investing in cleaner new energies. In all these areas we have made significant advances.

We have also established a robust road map to deliver our strategic sustainability objectives. Importantly, these plans include a suite of concrete projects that build on the 10% reduction in emissions we achieved in the period 2018-2021 and accelerate our efforts to deliver a significant reduction in emissions intensity by 2030. 

Our Commitment

ADNOC Gas is in full alignment with the ambitions of ADNOC Group and the UAE to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. We are a key enabler in delivering the group’s 25% emissions intensity reduction target by 2030 and the accelerated net zero operations by 2045 – in support of the UAE’s Net Zero by 2050 Strategic. 

Governance & Oversight

Delivery of our strategies and operational plans are based on a robust framework of governance and oversight, aligned with and applying ADNOC’s corporate standards and policies, and following best international practices. Our policies and procedures are supported by a systematic program of performance monitoring, audits, management reviews and Board reporting.

In several areas our systems and performance have been assessed against recognized international standards to provide external assurance that these are maintained at the very highest levels and that we continue to strive for improvements.

With the establishment of ADNOC Gas, we will be disclosing our ESG performance through annual sustainability reporting, which will be aligned with the GRI standards, and feature independent third-party assurance of emissions and HSE data.
