As part of the ADNOC Group we have implemented ADNOC’s Social Risk Management standard, developed in line with the Equator Principles and the IFC’s standards. This overarching standard guides the social aspects of our operations across all our activities and sites. Everything we do is aligned in this framework to the laws of Abu Dhabi and the UAE, ADNOC’s broader HSE policy and management systems.
We invest in our talent through extensive training and development programs. In 2022, we dedicated almost 50,000 hours towards training.
A key component of our people strategy is our diversity and inclusion framework. This includes a gender balance committee aimed at attracting, retaining and rewarding high potential female talent. and increasing the share of females in both management positions and the broader workforce. Emiratization is also a priority, to develop local talent as future leaders of the organization.
We have made strong progress in both these areas. Over a quarter of leadership positions now held by females, while over 60% of our team are UAE Nationals, an increase of +10% in the past three years.
We also make a strong contribution to the local economy and help to create UAE jobs through ADNOC’s In Country Value (ICV) program. Through localizing our supply chains our ICV has increased dramatically in a short period of time, from 42% of revenue in 2019 to 69% in November 2022.
We also play our part in engaging with our communities. ADNOC Gas and our employees have played an active part in supporting various ADNOC Group CSR initiatives and projects that have taken place across the UAE.
